Starting in the dark & early hours of the morning and crossing the finish line just as dawn is breaking, the Solace Sunrise Walk is an annual 5k walk/run that raises funds and awareness for suicide and self-harm prevention.
Event Details
With locations in Long Island City, Queens and on McLean Ave in Yonkers, Solace House provides free one-to-one counseling for people who are in suicidal distress, have made a suicide attempt, engage in self-harm and/or those who are bereaved by suicide. All of the services are completely free of charge, easily accessible and confidential. Our vision is a world where suicide, self harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. Our mission is to support people and communities in crisis by providing freely accessible, professional services to all.
