South Shore

The South Shore, which consists of the southern half of both Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island, New York, is home to many infamous landmarks, villages and people. Most notable is a section on the southeastern tip, called The Hamptons. The Hamptons are the home to Montauk Point State Park and its famous lighthouse. Living on the South Shore, especially in the Hamptons, is considered not only luxurious, but its real estate is highly coveted. Many celebrities and their families choose to live here because of its highly acclaimed school systems, country living and white sandy beaches that run the whole expanse of the South Shore. The night life and shopping come highly recommended as well. There are numerous high end shops and boutiques located within the South and East Hampton Townships. Also located on the South Shore of NY is the famous South Shore Mall, residing in Bay Shore NY. This mall includes some high end retailers such as Macy's and The Disney Store, and some smaller specialty shops like Wicks
