It is a family friendly entertainment event which provides an eclectic array of popular music catering to a very diverse audience from the USA and the Caribbean. Recognizing that many quality out-door park concerts are mostly held in the boroughs of Manhattan (Central Park) and in Brooklyn (Prospect Park) in the summertime, this event which is held at the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, bring quality entertainment to the borough, so that its residents will have ease of access and also share in the many spin off activities that are associated with the staging of such a premiere concert.Groovin’ in the Park has continued to intensify its focus on presenting a cadre of high quality performances coupled with an atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment for the community in response to their increasing demand for first class entertainment within the tri-borough area of New York. Groovin’ in the Park concentrates its efforts at positive developments within the community and view this event as another avenue to respond to one such need.
Groovin' in the Park has become a staple in the annual summer concert calendar.
