Uniting new and seasoned retailers, this morning of skill building kicks off with a taste of place: bagels, smoked salmon and whitefish (thanks, Acme Smokehouse), and a taste workshop with Brooklyn's own affineurs, Crown Finish Caves. Once fortified, you'll be ready to learn from the best in the business with sessions designed for both new and seasoned independent retailers, on topics spanning from how to use (and unusual places to find) data to a primer on open book finance (and how its principles can help you even if you're not ready to take the leap). The much anticipated "un-trade show" for tasty, authentic, responsible food. This industry-only, intimate gathering is an opportunity for thoughtful, responsible food crafters to connect with the growing comunity of retailers that value quality, care, and craftsmanship.
