As we close out our BKLYN LGBTQ+ History series, join us for a fun and informative walking tour of some of the places queer life flourished in Brooklyn prior to the Stonewall Riots.
Event Details
The tour will be conducted by author Hugh Ryan (www.hughryan.org) whose book "When Brooklyn Was Queer" uncovered evidence of thriving queer life in the pre-Stonewall Era that didn't just exist in the Village and Harlem.
The walking tour will begin at the War Memorial in Cadman Plaza and end at the Brooklyn Historical Society. Please dress appropriately for the weather and in comfortable shoes for walking.
