About the ArtistsBobby Gonzalez was born and raised in the South Bronx, New York City, he grew up in a bicultural environment. Bobby draws on his Native American (Taino) and Latino (Puerto Rican) roots to offer a unique repertoire of discourses, readings and performances that celebrates his indigenous heritage.
Skateboarding as a professional sport boasts a range of competitions, including vertical and street-style events. Vert skating features aerial acrobatics performed in half-pipes that were originally built to emulate empty swimming pools. Street style features tricks performed in a real or simulated urban environment with stairs, rails, ledges. During the festival, Indigenous Skateboards will provide basic skateboard instruction, and host a game of S.K.A.T.E.
Cetiliztli Nauhcampa are an open circle formed by people from various part of the Americas. Although most of us come from Mexico, some members hail from South America, the Caribbean as well as the US. We offer ceremonial performances and workshops through sharing indigenous dances and songs from Anahuac. Our group is a cultural, spiritual, artistic, political and educational circle made up of community and family members who carry on the ancient traditions of native people’s of this continent.
The SilverCloud Singers are an intertribal Native American Drum Group. SilverCloud was founded in 1991 and takes its name in tribute of Josephine Mofsi
